TEMPERS FRAY IN BB HOUSE

The scorching weather got the better of the Big Brother housemates as three of the wannabe celebrities were embroiled in a row.

Halfwit, Lisa and Charlie clashed in the garden as a seemingly innocuous chat turned into a full-blown argument.

Reflecting on his experience in the house, Halfwit told Charlie: “There are elements of this that are just nasty.

“I don’t think Lisa likes me.”

The comment sparked an angry reaction from Lisa, who replied: “I don’t think you like me.”

Halfwit added: “I dislike you scheming against me and bitching behind my back.”

Lisa said: “You’re paranoid. You are not a fool. You’re playing the victim of the house.”

With Halfwit despondent after the frank exchange of views, Charlie told him: “You single yourself out from everyone else. You don’t interact with the group.”

NOIRIN TEAM TRIUMPHS IN SADISTIC BB CHALLENGE

The Big Brother housemates were set a series of sadistic sporting challenges today.

A team led by Noirin triumphed in the challenges involving a relay race with a cactus baton and rolling across 248 upturned plugs.

The contestants also had to take part in a barefoot skipping race on a track with strategically-placed toy building blocks and a sack race where the sack contained stinging nettles.

And there was a stomach-churning egg and spoon race involving eating Chinese delicacy 1,000-year-old eggs.

Noirin led her team mates Lisa, Rodrigo, Charlie and Dogface to victory, and their prize was a school disco.

Referee Marcus was also allowed to attend the party for correctly predicting that they would win.

ANGEL AND HALFWIT FACE PUBLIC VOTE

Angel and Halfwit have been put up for eviction by their Big Brother housemates.

The contestants were given 90 seconds each to get to the diary room, say their nomination and give the reason why they were putting that person up for eviction.

Two lightbulbs were placed on a table in front of the contestants, one lit up when there was 30 seconds left, the other bulb flashed and buzzed when their allotted time was finished.

Earlier yesterday, Big Brother asked the house to send a good, loud speaker to the diary room to receive some instructions.

Rodrigo enthusiastically jumped at the chance but the news did not match his excitement with every housemate given only a minute and a half to deliver their nominations.

Halfwit was nominated for the third successive time, while Angel faces eviction for the first time.

Marcus was immune from eviction after being knighted by Siavash on Tuesday.

Sree received a dramatic makeover from Charlie who bleached his dark hair, despite being told only the tips would be highlighted.

Sree said: “Listen, my mum and dad is watching, probably they’re gonna kill me”.

The object of Sree’s affection, Noirin, seemed concerned by the whole incident, she said: “He’s gonna have bleached hair – totally bleached hair”.

EVICTION NOMINATIONS TWIST FOR BB HOUSEMATES

Big Brother housemates will be called to nominate who should be evicted in a special live show today.

Host Davina McCall will broadcast directly from the studios to spring the surprise.

Following clips of housemates’ highlights on Channel 4, Big Brother will announce to the house that each housemate will be called, one by one, into the diary room to give their nominations live on TV.

Each housemate will be given a strict amount of time to name the two housemates they wish to nominate.

Only nominations given within this time frame, with full and frank reasons, will count.

Housemates will be gathered on the sofas to hear the results of the nominations later.

The highlights will be shown from 9pm and the live nominations will air at 10.55pm.

The public vote will open at 10am tomorrow.

BB HALFWIT CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY

Big Brother housemate Halfwit celebrated his birthday in the house and admitted it was “weird” to be doing it on camera.

Halfwit, who changed his name from plain Freddie after becoming a housemate, turned 24 yesterday, the day of the Summer Solstice.

Big Brother said the Solstice was often associated with hippies and gave the housemates some costumes to wear, to Halfwit’s delight.

He was thrilled with his tie-dye outfit but later told Angel: “This is probably the weirdest birthday because it’s all being broadcast.”

Angel revealed Halfwit was not the first housemate to have a birthday while in the house but she had asked for hers to be kept a secret.

“I don’t like birthdays,” she said. “Doesn’t make me happy. I asked Big Brother do not celebrate my birthday.”

She refused to say the date but added: “It is already gone.”

Halfwit was told to prepare a 15-minute presentation about himself entitled The Life, Times and Thoughts of Halfwit the First, for the other housemates.

“I was born with a brain with very little understanding of social signals,” he began.

“If I had been aware of social signals, it would have crushed me. I’ve always been a bit different. I didn’t notice people calling me stupid.”

Before entering the house the Oxford graduate, from Market Drayton, Shropshire, described himself as an entrepreneur and polymath.

The presentation continued: “I’m a man of many different sides, many different angles.

“I sing. I do politics. I am a very social person. I’m a very clever person, but I’ve had to work really hard to even be able to read and write.

“I’m really into politics, but I’ve been so frustrated with so much of politics.”
